City of Light Baptist Church started in October 2023, born out of the desire to see a body of believers gathering together to make disciples in their home, neighborhood, city and around the world.

While this was when the church first began to meet publicly, the foundation for City of Light Baptist Church was laid several years before. The idea for a church plant in Buffalo grew out of a recognition of the need for more gospel impact in the city of Buffalo. Over the next three years that vision became a reality as a group of over twenty churches and numerous individuals caught the vision for what God was going to do in Buffalo. 

Pastor Robbins and his family moved to Buffalo in November 2022 and began the process of building relationships, forming a core group and becoming part of the city. While City of Light Baptist Church is still in the infant stages of becoming a church, there is already a tremendous history of provision and answered prayer showing God's hand in the formation of this new church in Buffalo, NY.
